About

A SoCal native, Chelsea J. Smith is an actor/filmmaker navigating her way around the Big Apple. Through her characters, she seeks to explore obsession, fixation and extreme ambition in the human condition. Think: Natalie Portman in Black Swan or Rose Byrn in Bridesmaids and basically every role Jessica Chastain has played.

With over 20 years of national and international experience as a dancer, Chelsea moved to New York City to pursue her dreams of a career in dance. Through her journey as a dancer, she realized the strong desire to fully immerse herself into the world of arts. Enter Acting. She took the plunge into the acting world and enrolled in the William Esper Studio where she trained with Bill Esper. Building on her strong performing arts background, Chelsea has since secured roles in theater and film. She has worked as a print and runway model as well.

To capitalize on performing in and producing art she believes in, Chelsea co-founded and serves as Creative Director of Little Spoon, Big Spoon Productions, LLC. Current projects include Shirley Lauro's "A Piece of my Heart" and an original web series #JADED of which she is a co-writer. She combines her passion not only for art, but also collaborating among communities and like-minded people.

Chelsea is following her father's advice to, "Go for it!"
